Works great with attachments and easy to use by Famille
This app is a useful and simple tool for anyone who sends or receives messages from the older Microsoft Outlook 97 and 2000 applications (winmail.dat).I can read, and save file attachments that come from Outlook, Outlook Express, and Microsoft Exchange applications as well as Thunderbird and Lotus Notes e-mail.

Easy-to-use App by darlingchuks
Read, open, save, view the existent files on the winmail.dat attachment file. I recently started working with a person who sent me multiple winmail.dat attachments. I don't use outlook for email, so all of these attachments were unreadable. The Microsoft solution was to request that the sender change their outlook settings. This was totally inappropriate given our professional relationship. I found the winmail.dat reader app. Now, when I receive one of these emails, the kindle mail app recognizes the file and uses this app to open it. Then I can see the actual file ( .doc, .pdf, etc) . It was easy to download and use.
