Learn PHP Pro

Coming from a Zend certified PHP engineer, I was rather surprised to find so much content in this app. It looks like it will get people new to Php, servers, and databases in general on their feet. It won't prepare you for mid-level or senior level development though. You should be using vagrant or docker, as well as phpstorm. Phpadmin is great, and easy to use and learn, but you should be using phpstorm if you're going to be an efficient developer that can keep up with today's market. Also the mysql_* functions are deprecated in php5, and removed in php7 (there is no php6, the project was aborted). Should be using mysqli or pdo. The security section should also discourage strip_tags. It's not suitable for practical purposes. There's libraries out there for this sort of thing. Wish there was a mention of design patterns, or frameworks like Laravel to give newcomers a better sense of the direction to head in the PHP world. But honestly, shouldn't be learning a language that's dying...
