Stagelight

This software came with my computer, so I thought to myself, "Well, might as well give it a try." Ended up being one of the best decisions I have ever made as Stagelight is not only comfortable to use, but also offers tons of free content. There's no pushing you to purchase the Ultimate Bundle, and when you're ready, the process is as easy as a click of a button. If you're looking for a DAW that is beginner-friendly and suitable for seasoned music makers, then OpenLabs has created the perfect product for you.

I've been using this app for maybe 6 months or so. It's really great for making some basic tunes. Though I highly recommend paying for the $10 core upgrade. I love that I can start a song on my phone and continue on my PC or vice-versa.

The app is all over the place. If you wish to create a "new song" the app takes you to a page where you can only create a drum beat. The process of recording beats for tracks is also difficult as well, as you can't even delete any recordings you don't like. I have yet to find an organized music-making app that allows me to upload music from my computer files, choose from a wide variety of non-electric-sounding instruments, and choose the pitch and duration of a note in a beat I create, all the while allowing me to download and share my recorded works. I'm surprised no one's rated this any lower than a 4. It makes me think the developers are reporting any comments that lower their ranking.
