NIV Bible (New International Version)

It is so easy to understand. I feel like I'm reading the Bible for the first time!

Clean and simple. A good reference when used with other study materials, but the minimalism (no footnotes) makes is less valuable as a study bible. (See example below.) Regarding Deb's review of missing verse 23 of Matthew 23. BibleGateway is also missing this version in the NIV and includes a footnote: "Some manuscripts include here words similar to Mark 12:40 and Luke 20:47." Like any other bible version, the scholars that prepared it had to use their best judgement when correlating the various versions and translations. The NIV preserves versification from the KJV, so when the questionable verse was eliminated, the verse number was also eliminated.

I was reading in Matthew and Matthew 23:14 is missing - I wonder what else is missing?

I have uninstalled and reinstalled and the screen is blank.
