The ONLY drawback is it has style setting e.g., bold, italics, etc. but doesn't save them. Paid for the app, asked dev if/when the style settings would be fixed, they said they were working on it. Now the app is FREE, which leads me to believe the issues will not be addressed.

The bugs with the update seem to have been worked out. Very glad as it is the best notepad app out there!

I'd give this 5 stars if it weren't for this. I had quickly down a lot of information and decided I needed a new tab. I pressed Ctrl+N, and when asked, said to create the new document in the same window, assuming this would create it in a new tab since I had chosen that option in Settings. Instead it just...deleted my document I had begun to write and replaced it with a blank one, all without asking if I wanted to save my old one before closing it/making the new one. This is just awful user experience and design. Come on guys. This is obvious stuff. Yes, I should have saved it, but like every other application on the planet, give me an option to save my work before closing it, and change this deceptive design please. Other than that, no qualms, great app.

The last update makes the app faster when loading .srt file, and even the lagging when scrolling is gone! Thanks!
