LiveATC

For any aviation enthusiast out there, this is a great little app to have. A very valuable tool for new pilots in training to get familiar with ATC communications to take away some of the fear of keying that mic for the first time... :-)

It was great when it worked, but now it won't even launch.

Nice to combine LiveATC radio chatter with FlightAware flight mapping if you're an aviation geek.

Great app for killing time, and listening to ATCs. Needs perhaps more options, but I'm sure that will come with updates. Recommend!

I'm using this app in Windows 8.1 on my desktop, and I get no sound even though it indicates the frequency is connected and is streaming. I can get sound when I go directly to the website LiveATC.net, and choose Windows Media Player. My sound device works, but this app doesn't seem to want to use it.

The only thing I don't like about it is that it won't over ride the computers auto sleep or shut down feature like Netflix or You tube live stream so you need to suspend this feature in order to listen to it longer then whatever you have your computer sleep or shutdown feature set for. Other then that minor pain in the A&& its quite entertaining especially during heavy traffic or bad weather. Those guys in the air and ATC really know there stuff.
