Huetro for Hue

As usual, I didn't expect to find an official app to control my Hue lights. However, the developer has completely outperformed what Philips has done on their other supported platforms. And best yet, and something I was skeptical about before downloading the app, unlike many third party apps which only provide a subpar experience for a premium price, almost all the features are free. Yet, it's been less than 10 minutes since I downloaded the app and I have already made the donation! We need (to support) more developers like these!

Great ago for Hue. Clean design, and lots of nice features like Disco, and lots on timer... I would like to see gradual timed lighting, like a sunrise, and I would like the disco lights to be activated via sounds from the MIC.. It is a better app than some I bought for my android tho control the Hue...

- The new lights page color picker does not work - unable to confirm color selection I think you are making a great app here. But I also think you should forget about new features for now (like Band and Xbox) and focus on bugs. I am using the app for two days and I have run into so many.

I'm an avid HUE user - I have 14 lights in my home, as well as a few HUE LED strips. This application allows me to control everything, the way I want to, ALMOST perfectly. Feedback: - Hue Tap support is buggy. I can't add more than one, and I own several. This is frustrating. - Windows Phone and Windows 8.1 Scenes and other settings don't sync perfectly - also a little frustrating. - Creating new scenes from scratch on the phone seems to be a bit buggy, I think there may be some profile/cache issues that need to be worked out. All in all, this is a sensational application - if charging $1.99 for this application would allow the publisher bandwidth to make the above adjustments, I know it would be the most purchased Hue app on the Windows Store. 1.5 Thumbs Up!

Amazing app, happy to support dev

I've decided to write a revised review after having used the app. This app rocks! It is actually better than the official Phillips Hue app I used on my iPad. Big kudos to the developer! I actually bought the (optional) in-app purchase of $3,99 to support him and would have paid more if there was an option. What I love about the app is the richness and ease of use. Being able to pin scenes to my Stattscreen actually makes this app more effective than the original. I also love the ability to write NFC tags. Just tapping the tag with your phone is enough to activate a certain scene or other action. And the built-in disco feature is cool too. REALLY GREAT JOB!

The app doesn't always respond to the settings that you set up and you keep encountering access denied errors.

Needs ability to change colors based on music.
