Cover - Comic reader

In general, this is probably the best comic book reader app I've seen, and I do mean that. The layout is essentially perfect and I would thoroughly recommend this to most people, however, I'm personally having a small issue because . . . Well, because my comic book library is too big and this causes the app to freeze on opening. Not joking, can't even use it at the moment. That said, though, I think for most people who don't have an insanely gigantic and unreasonable library such as myself, this is probably your best bet, and it did manage to fit in more books than any other app I've used before this technical difficulty.

Don't buy this if you are using a portable device of any kind. Great app, love the functionality. Problem is that it destroys battery life. I can only use Cover for 2 hours on my Surface Pro 3 before the battery is dead. CPU is pegged at 80% usage and temperatures around 75C, even when only at the main menu and not actively viewing a comic. Incredibly inefficient app. Update: Still using high amounts of CPU while doing nothing. Even on a desktop Core i5 4650k it continually hovers at 40%.

I paid for the unlimited version of this app and it works great. My one complaint, for me is a big one. It is a resource hog! I opened my task manager and it reported this app was consuming 95% of my CPU. The fan was screaming and the back of the computer was getting absurdly hot. I won't pretend to understand what all the app was doing, but I have used lower quality apps that only consumed enough resources to turn the page. maybe it's scanning my computer for other comics? the point is, my surface already has a somewhat short lifespan, I don't need help killing my battery when all I'm doing is reading a stinking comic book!

Closest thing to perfect viewer on android. Would be great if a screen dimmer could be integrated into this app.

Can't change from [Fit width] to [Fit height] or [Fit both]. Also with [One page] to [Two pages] or [Two pages, first page with cover]

There are a few things I don't like about this. - The controls are not intuitive. Mouse clicks sometimes scroll and then turn the page, and sometimes they just show the menu. - The button to fit to screen or not (at the top of the window) is automatically hidden. When I show the menu with some mouse click, the buttons remain hidden. There are other menu buttons at that spot which confused me until I saw I have to bump the cursor on the top of the window to reveal the go out of full screen button. - Doesn't support opening multiple comics, it remains as a single window. - If I go to the library or settings of the app, there's no going back to the comic I was just reading. - Dual page mode just sticks every 2 pages together starting from the 1st page, which is the cover. I didn't find a way to choose from which page the dual page function should start. On the plus side, it does open comics, so that's something.

I love this app. I was looking for other apps when I found this one and have been using ever since. I reached my limit of comics and I saw that it cost 2.99. I ended up waiting a few days before buying but im glad I did, now I can have as many comics as I want but now I have what almost seems like an endless scroll to find my comic. I wish that it would categorize the comics by series to have a more streamlined menu of your comics. other than that the app is very smooth and works great!
